Hi, I have owned outboards and I/Os w/ alpha 1 drive and on all of them the prop would spin freely while in neutral. However, this is my first Bravo drive and the prop is a bit hard to spin. It certainly doesn't spin freely and when I give it a good spin, it stops almost immediately.

Is this normal?

** NOTE: It's even more so since she's been put up for the winter.

Ayuh,.... No doubt cold oil drag....

There's considerably more turnin' in a Bravo in neutral than an outboard or an Alpha...
It shifts in the upper, not the lower like to others...

In neutral in the Alpha or an outboard, only the prop shaft turns...

I figured the cold oil was adding to the drag. My main concern was the amount of drag in general. Glad to hear it's normal. Thanks Bond-o.
