Last run of the season. Came off plane and heard this sound coming from under swim platform. Makes sound in forward, neutral and reverse. Any ideas?

My ideas are U-joints or exhaust flapper. Is the noise present in the engine bay as well?

Flappers, ujoints and entire transom assembly new 2020. Inside engine bay it's not making that sound. Pronounced sound coming from under swim platform

I’d pick up a mechanic’s stethoscope pull the boat out of the water and keep probing areas till you find where it’s coming from…

Check the props to see if they are loose, otherwise need to pull the drive. Hope not, but could be the 2020 job was not so good

What part of the 2020 job?
I read

Inside not making noise, but outside is
Maybe something was not done but listed it was.
I would look at outdrive since no sound inside boat, but could be gimbal bearing

What kind of boat is this ? Don’t suppose it’s a formula with the silent thunder system. With baffles and water box in the back of it ?

Everything was done as listed....gimbal bearing is new as its part of the transom assy package when you buy it....to my knowledge gimbal bearings roar when they are going bad.

Just had that happen to mine this past summer. Please check for the magnet on your drain plug. The upper one came out of mine and went through the gears and wrecked the whole drive. I am in the process of overhauling mine because of that. I should have said upper plug, not lower.
