Bravo 3 speedometer inlet.

I have a 2004 crownline with a bravo 3 outdrive. Serial # 0w028789 model #442067rs. I had a little damage to lower front of outdrive last year. So I repaired it with marine bondo and repainted. It was just some sratches. But not realizing I repaired right over the speedo inlet..I see there is 2 locations for the inlet. 1 is about 6 inches down from top of where lower unit attaches to upper unit. # 2 looks to be 2-3 inches above center of prop shaft..both on the front edge of the case..can anyone give me good measurements to both of these sports? I'm going to carfully clean out the inlet..thanks bill

There is only one speed-o hole and it is exactly 6.5 inches down

Thanks for responding..im new to this forum stuff. i tried to send a pic. of a newer drive. the hole is only 2-3 inches above center of prop shaft.. wont let me attach it..

It might be 2-3 above the center of the prop (if your talking about the same hole) going from the center up to the hole. Your not allowed to attached or upload pics until you have made 3 post. Just post once more with anything (post 3) then you should be able to attach IF the pic is not to large

Well I have 3 different years of B3's and the one I used was the 2015 one. I'll go out and measure the 1994 model and 2002 something

All B3's are at 6.5 inches, and just for giggles measured the B1 and its at almost 6.75
