I took my drives off this Saturday to bring to a local marine mechanic for a pressure/vacuum test becasue they had some oil weeping out of the top cap, and to my surprise I got away without having to have them resealed. In fact, the pressure test passed despite the leak.. I suspect that when the drives were in the sub-zero climate, the O-Rings shrunk enough to weep a little oil out, (on both drives) and now it is warmer and no leak? Who knows but I'm getting the O-Rings replaced nevertheless.
