installed new bearings per the manual but I can't get any resistance after tightening the nut all the way I double checked and everything is put back correctly

Show pic of your torque wrench?
and is this inch pounds and not foot pounds

I also have a beam inch pound torque wrench and neither one shows any resistance
I'm not able to help if I'm not able to see what your seeing.

A beam wrench is good but if there is no means of actually seeing "max" torque than it's useless

Same goes for dial wrench

Need to be able to set a marker on the wrench and then rotate wrench. The marker will move based on amount of torque encountered.

I just installed and set the resistance for mine today. I wasnt getting any resistance at first either. Just had to tighten the nut a little more. Then worked my way up very slightly checking each time.
