thanks again for the link Don,
so the vst is clean and back on, primed the hi press pump by running the low pressure pump for a few cycles until I got the air out of the system used the test nipple.
then hooked power to the hi press pump, no squealing at all and boat runs great after the plugs, dist cap/rotor were changed.
now i understand the system, had no idea about 2 fuel pumps sorry for the confusion on this post.
