Hi All...I've got a 21ft CC that still has the old pull out switches for lights/bilge etc. I don't mind them but they are all corroded and need to be replaced. I was thinking of replacing them with a six switch breaker panel. Can I just run wires from the plus/neg of the battery, right to the breaker panel? If so, what gauge wire? If you have any recommendations for a panel, please share. Thanks!

Guess I missed something. If your just replacing switches/breakers just remove the wire off the original and put it on the new one. Same wire, same gauge

The breaker panel probably has one common feed for positive. Your present switches probably have a common feed but are daisy chained together. Find that feed and use it.

Would something like this be appropriate?

Blue Sea Weatherdeck Breaker Panel

I'm confused about fuse vs breaker.

Not knowing exactly what you have I would say yes, that is if it will fit.

I'm confused about fuse vs breaker.
Fuses blow quicker then a breaker will trip. Both protect the circuit just as well. Blow a fuse need to go get another and replace it, trip a breaker just flip/push the switch to reset.
