Over here in the highly-populated Balt/Wash corridor, the laws tend to protect the criminals (Libs at work?)
Uh oh......think I just opened the wrong door
LOL... I don't think the Libs will join in here, they know when they are whipped. 8)
There was a case here a number of years ago where a 12 Y/O boy took the gas cap off the neighbors car and was tossing lite matches in it, surprise, surprise, the car blew up, burning the "child". The "childs parents sued and won... the neighbor was "maintaining an attractive nusance".
When I was in high school a 20 Y/O man fell through the skylight above the gymnasium... at 3 am. He admitted he was trying to get in and steal athletic equipment... He sued the School District and won. they didn't have "guard rails" around the skylight.
A few years ago I heard a "noise" and got up to see my shop door open and a guy loading his pickup with my tools. I detained the "gentleman" and called the cops. He was arrested and convicted of burglary. I was sued for use of excessive force, and lost. A cop later told me I would have been better off to haul his azz into the house and "waste" him... no questions would have been asked.
The Libs fault? I don't think so... this is our fault for letting the Lawyers pad their own pockets at our expense. They are the ones that make the "precedents" in court that slowly erode common sense, and the Judges (also lawyers) that allow these stupid rulings.
I believe in Darwinism, hang the lawyers and stupid Judges, it can't help but improve the species.
