I know, I know... BOAT = Break Out Another Thousand.
But it doesn't HAVE to be that way.
Being a retiree on a fixed income, I have to stretch every buck, as do many others. What I don't have in cash though, I make up for with time. I don't have to worry about waiting for weekends, etc. so can take however long it takes to get things done.
So far, with the 2 project boats that I purchased back in January, I am now actually a few dollars ahead of what I spent. That is to say, I now have 2 boats and 2 trailers, plus a BUNCH of accessories, including an electric trolling motor and bracket, completely paid for with no cash out of my pocket.
AND I now have a pocket full of cash to be used for the purchase of an outboard!
The money I received today for the 115hp Mercury I sold was more than I paid for the little boat, motor, trailer and accessories combined. Cool.
Anybody else have good luck like that with your projects?
