Read the entire thing WBW. There may be more than one crooked politician living in the northern reaches. String em all up if they are guilty. And do it publically. Penalty's should be severe and swift.

I would stay off my high horse about which side of the isle they live on. William Jefferson mean anything to you? Alcie Hastings? Diane Feinstein? Tom Daschele? Dingy Harry? Bill and Hillary Clinton? Teddy "oops I killed a girl" oldsmobile?

Somebody should have told the FBI that in Alaska it is very cold. Up there they don't need freezers.The whole state is a freezer.That makes it very easy to hide money in the freezer.
Gosh he may have hidden it under his bridge to nowhere or a few more of his very special appropriations.
If anything is amazing in this whole deal,it would be that the FBI waited so long before they finally took action.
Ted Stevens is the longest serving republican in the Senate,he must have become a very wily fox

Yes term limitations. No pension. Let them invest in a 401K and Social Security. Make congressional offices obey OSHA rules. Random drug testing for congress. In other words make them follow the same stuff the rest of us do in the work place.

Thats the truth. I think everyone feels that the majority members of congress (Senate & House) are "crooked". I think the system lends itself to taking "bribes" (for lack of a better word).

I an all seriousness, I still struggle with term limits (no career politicians) which seems to be the common view here (except Spinner for Pres. which I am in support of). Don't we have term limits now? Elections? What if we get a super duper guy in office and due to term limits we can't keep him . . . Isn't there more of a chance of corruption etc. if the guy is Lame duck? Isn't that why there is always a flurry of Pardons at the end of a Presidential term?

I am not suggesting we should allow The Executive Branch to run forever as that would begin to look like a Monarchy. I am definitely not sure we should muck with the Legislative Branch though . . .
