My buddy needed a trailer, we found a 1983 Crestliner on a Spartan trailer with a 1983 75hp Johnson on it. I got the motor. She had been sitting outside unused since 2006! First I sprayed the inside of the cylinders with flogging oil and slowly turned the flywheel by hand. Then took off the carbs...they were black inside. soaking spraying and brushing them clean took some time, but three new carb kits later she was good to go. Then I realized she had no spark, Replaced the power pack and she fires right up and idles smooth. Replaced the dried out cracked impeller and hit the lake. Sadly she won't go wide open or even plane my boat off.
