british seagull ESC 181 HH1

i have the above motor the engine just kept dying when shifted into gear,decided to renew a few parts new piston rings c/head gasket fuel needle value.
fresh fuel i have good compression and a bright blue spark a couple of pulls on the starter rope backfire, all the parts were from john at SOS so i know they are top notch thougt the cdi might be faulty but like i say getting a nice fat spark put a little fuel don the spark plug hole still no joy

Hey all... new to this site. All I have to say is that it is good to know there are others out there running similar equipment to mine. I have a 4.5 Ted Williams... will try to get pics up here soon!

yes thats the one ..can be cheaper to buy a seagull on british e bay ( www.ebay.co.uk) send it to me and I will strip and send you the parts . I do this to australia for my SOS friends there .
