Re: British Seagull - Gas/Oil mix ratio

Your Seagull was Manufactured on May 1970, this model was Manufactured from 1967 to 1973, so its a late one.
Its a Century, with Clutch, 4 to 4.5hp, Gear Oil is SAE or EP 140 and Fuel Ratio should be 10:1, or 1 gal unleaded to 12.8 oz oil.
But the motor may have been converted to 25:1, so you will need to look at the needle in the carb.
As for the impeller, if it runs and pumps water then, no need to.

Hope this helps.

the water passages in the cylinder get very rusty and can cause water not to flow. mine was packed solid with rust
