Broken flywheel magnet 96 force 90. HELP!!

PLEASE HELP! I have a 1996 90hp force with a broken magnet in the flywheel. I can't find any part number(s) on the broken flywheel (flywheel still on the motor). Would a used flywheel be ok to use? I don't have $500 for a new one, and where could I find a used one. I've done everything to this motor but this. I hope this is not another year seeing this thing set. Any info would be welcomed. Thanks

Not trying to hijack your post but I just broke my started shaft and found two pices of magnet stuck to the starter and could not figure out where they came from. How can you tell if you broke the flywheel magnet?

I looked under flywheel. Magnet was on my starter is how I got to looking. I didn't know magnets were under there.

Thanks, its not sounding if thats the case.......not sure where eles it would have picked ou the pices of magnet. Mines a 120 1995 and havent found any deals yet but will keep an eye out for your modle as well.

google CDI Electronics they have the magnets for around 25$ for my 175.. they dont look that hard to install. you have to pull the flywheel off to do this. you just have to make sure you clean them really good and sand the surfaces good then use the supplied epoxy or any high strength two part epoxy to glue them back on..dont forget to mark where the magnets go( at least that is what my marina said ,i dont know why they all look the same to me) i just numbered them. good luck ! i'm doing mine now for the first time.
