Fun times, I recently completed rebuilding my 1984 Century Mustand 195. I always keep my outdrive down and accidently didn't raise it before moving it from the yard to the garage. Skeg hit the garage floor lip and broke off a small portion, I thought that was the end of it. Nope! Luckily I just found a used one locally and will be swapping out today. The initial hit could not have bent the piston rod the way it is in the picture. The hydraulics must have done that after the fact

If you were reversing the boat when it hit then yes, the hit broke it. Insured?
