Broken skeg, water re-appearing in bilge

I have a '95 Four Winns Horizon 190 with a 5.0L OMC engine and a Volvo Penta SX Cobra stern drive. I was getting water in the bilge earlier this season, my dealer found the leaking water pump was the cause. They replaced it and that solved the problem. Not a drop of water in the bilge after that for about the next 4 times on the water. About 30 days ago, a car apparently hit and broke off a piece of the skeg while I had the boat parked on the trailer. Since then it starts, shifts and accelerates and runs just fine but, I'm getting water in the bilge again. Last Sunday after about 3 total hours on the water and one total hour of engine running time, I'm getting about 1/2 to 3/4 gallon of water out of the bilge when pulling the drain plug after getting boat on trailer. Its back at the dealer now and I haven't heard from them yet. Is this re-occurring water in bilge from the impact/jolt of that car hitting the skeg and jarring something loose? Is is unrelated to that? I'm just wondering what to expect them to find.
Thanks

being a 1995 four winns, I would suspect a soft transom and the transom shield moved when you hit something
