I just recently purchased a boat with a brovo 3 outdrive with twin props. It has not been in the water yet because I had to rebuild the engine. Anyway I've always had a spare prop with my alpha outdrive, especially after i spun the prop once without a spare and my dad had to tow my friends and I in lol. My question is should you have a spare set of props for the brovo 3? Do I need both or just the outter prop? Is it possible to spin both props? I also hear the props can expensive. Not a big deal but I couldn't find much info on the intetwebs. Thanks

If you damage the B3 props you will probably have drive damage. They need to be run as a set in all cases. You could probably limp back using the forward prop only but I wouldn't try with rear only, but that's just me

+1 to what AD said. Not worth having a spare set. It's not like you can change the dual props in the water with standard tools. The props do not have a hub that can be spun; they are solid stainless steel. If you hit a rock or something, well too bad for the rock. :)

Bravo 3 prop sets are about $1K

A good depth sounder wil help avoid hitting rocks and bottom. If you think you might be hitting things with your props it would be a good idea to carry a spare set. You can easily change them in the water with the right tool if you have a swimstep to lie on. With the engine off, put it in forward to remove the rear prop, then reverse to remove the foreard prop.
