BRP (OMC) parts support?

We are allways refering posters to BRP dealers for E/J parts.Does anyone know if BRP is activly supporting parts for the older OMC motors.
I see some fairly obscure parts being available but wonder if its just whats in the system and/or has BRP said they are supporting older motors?

i have no idea. that's a question to propose to their marketing dept.

BRP has most carb kits and ignition parts for 50 year old motors and even for some older engines.

It does seem like a good number of new parts are avilable weather it be OE or Aftermarket which is good.
BRP builds outboards round here and boy are they hurting. Pretty sure the assembly line has not run since before Xmas but does resume tomorrow for all of March and then closed all of April again.
Mercury is hurting too, too bad for those companies and their employee's.

My experience has been that BRP still has many parts for the older OMC motors. In some cases, however, the warehouses that stock the parts arem not BRP facilities. For example, Sea-Way Marine in Seattle, WA, is one of the largest OMC NOS warehouses in the world.

I got the word from a well established dealer.BRP goes back to 96 or 97.
They did say they have a good supply of older stuff and the Antique Outboard Club was suggested.

i got this from a very reliable source, that has connections to BRP.

"They are still making basic maintenance parts for the old motors, points, condensors, carb kits, etc. Each year they do cut back on some. The worst one is Mercury, many not so old parts are NLA. Luckily some aftermarket companies are filling that gap.

Even Yamaha has a lot of NLA stuff from the mid-eighties."
