The Spectators are crazy?
I was into that a number of years ago.
Do you have any idea how fast 100 MPH is when your Butt is less than 2 inches from the ground?

They are a lot more sophisticated now, not merely Go-carts with 250cc 2 cylinder motorcycle engines and 1 turn lock-to-lock Rack & Pinion steering.
For giggles, a friend of mine built 1 with a Honda CBX 6 cylinder engine. It was OHMIGOD Sunday come to meeting fast. Freaky, to say the least.

The mountain thing is beyond me, even in my younger years.

Oh, to be young and crazy again.
I'm no longer young.

What I want to know is how much you paid those other to drivers to let you pass them?

In both cases it looked like the only limit was the size of their B***s!

Especially with those carts, their wasn't much there between the driver and a wall.

Aldo, what kind of gearboxes do those carts have?

[colour=blue]It wasn't me in the kart, I don't think I posess the required harry's.
It's a GPZ1100 (Ninja) with a kawasaki 6 speed, although I imagine it has been race modified.

Don't know where the mountain climb was filmed. I'm guessing it's europe because in Aus, spectators would not be allowed so close (and unprotected!) from a track. Same for the U.S?

Have a friend that I went to high school with in the 60's that did the 250cc thing in the early 70's. Took first place in OR & WA
Was listed as Rabbit.

Have another friend here in Lakewood that his club was invited to fill in for the indy 500 .. (Tacoma back then) I'm not into racing so indy might not be right. But it was a big car race in CA.
Long & short as crowd pleasers thier go-carts where just seconds behind the race cars on laps.. fans went wild and they were never invited back again.

He is 66 or 67 and still has the go-cart in his shop.
Asked me if I wanted to drive it a couple years ago..
I said NOPE! I like my skin attached to my body! :)

Yes, same for the US.

Looks like Switzerland to me. I got a little taste of that last summer from St. Moritz to Zurich, Albula pass. A drive you all need to put on your "before you die list". Easy when the company pays for it . . .
