On my Hurricane deck boat the original instrument panels are rapidly cracking and falling apart. Does anyone have any good sources and or tips on how to make my own? Thanks in advance for any info.

Re: Building replacement instrument panels ?

there is a place called great lakes skipper that sells surplus dash panels...
check them out on the web

as far as making one.....your imagination is the only thing stopping you.

one of the simplest ones is a thin peice of plywood veneer..(in the finish of your choice) cut to fit, and install the gauages.

if you want somthing totally different, you can actually fabricate one out of fiberglass.....

let us know if you want to make one your self....and we can help :)

cheers

They had a database crash apparently...I could see nothing at all in the forums.

yeah you have to register before you can see the forums but its free and only takes a second. They have some great work on there and i have gotten some great ideas off here

Many thanks to all. I was thinking of doing it myself with some type of plastic material. Looks like all I'll need is a router and hole saw. This gives me the excuse I needed to buy that router!
