I purchased this 16ss this year-

Finally got around to building the fishing platform and just wanted to share pics as I promised. Thanks to the great advice here I purchased 3/4" Arauco plywood, cut it to shape and applied a couple coats of spar. I needed this to be a removable platform so that when the wife and girls want to go out I have the front seating still in tact, so I wanted this platform to sit on the seats and not damage them. I bought pipe insulation and used that around the edges of the wood so they would be soft and not tear the seats or vinyl. after the pipe insulation was on i covered it in marine vinyl. I had brown in the garage so that's what i used. I also had the seat pedestal and seat in the garage, so i just used them. The seat pulls up and comes off so that i can use the front canvas to cover it while it's docked. I also used some of the extra ply i had left and doubled up underneath where the seat pedestal mounts. The whole platform lifts up and slides right into the back of the truck when i want to take it out. Any questions please ask

Also, I need a couple rod holders to mount up front, I want ones that go on the rails. Are the rails on these 1"? Any rod holder suggestions for the rails

It's excellent! I've been thinking of doing exactly the same. Nice to have the option of seats.

Very nice. I too like keeping the admiral happy, and being comfortable when we fish. I'm thinking of changing all my seating to the removable type for ease of changing the configuration when we fish.
