Bulging floor in stern??

took my boat out the other day, at WOT i looked back and notice the floor in the stern was builging up like the stringer was broke or something. i took the floor out and nothing was different than when i replaced the floor. i added some extra bracing.

anyone know what the problem is?

its a 1972 15ft Monark with a johnson 70hp.

Was the bracing from the transom? Pushing any force forward?
Transom dry?

i put braces in between the stringers, the botttom of the transom is wet. :(

The boat is in the process of sinking itself and you.
The rotten transom and anything else rotten needs to be addressed, now.
You have a serious problem.
One month of nights and w/e, you can be back on the water.
Safe this time. (if the engine goes underwater, and you and passengers swim to shore, what is the engine repair bill?)

so i need to replace the transom? how much work would that be and what about cost?

Take a rubber hammer and tap it all over, you can hear if it has some rot.
Try poking it with an ice pick from inside, down low at first.

Ayuh,..... It sounds like the Stringers are Rotten too........

i tapped all over the transom with a rubber hammer. its perty solid, seems more solid at the bottom, (i guess because its supported more).
