Not sure if this belongs here, when I'm doing wood build ups, the most common adhesive is pl premium. Problem is getting the stuff out of the tubes fast enough it doesn't set up before I can trowel it. Does anybody know where to get it in bulk like a 5 gallon bucket of the stuff?

Re: Bulk pl premium

What are you gluing up that you want to use PL instead of something else?

Medium~slow cure epoxy has a long set time, should give you lots of working time.
Gorilla glue (or any similar polyurethane glue)
TiteBond3 cures waterproof (good working time, but cures quick, 1 of the reasons it's popular)

I'm gluing up transom sheets of ply or multiple sheets for stringers. In the past P.B. used to be the way to go, but seems pl premium has taken it's place I think primarily because of cost. I like gorilla glue for small stuff but is insanely expensive for big areas.

If I was gluing up a transom or staggered seam, multiple laminate ply sheets for stringers, I'd use TiteBond3. $30+/- gal. Water cleanup until cured, then waterproof.

Well spread out w/a plastic wallpaper tool ($5+/-) from HD/Lowes..

My knock-down plywood kayak/canoe was made w/ TB3 instead of resin & 4oz fiberglass tape.
