Bumper repair

The bumper is coming out in a couple of places...just the top edge. I've tried pushing it in with a flat head screwdriver and metal putty knife, but I'm afraid if I push as hard as it seems to need, I'll puncture the bumper. Any special tools or techniques to get it back in? thanks.

I've used soapy water to install bike handle grips as a kid and now on my kids bikes. The soapy water is slippery (lubricates) but once water evaporates, the soap residue isn't slippery. Also, I've used small pieces of wood (paint stirrer, etc) to do things like this that I didn't want to use metal on. Just a few "non boating" ideas.<br /><br />BL...

BLifsey...thanks, the soapy water did the trick...along with a rounded off plastic putty knife....
