bunk covers

I have a pontoon that we use in saltwater. I would like to remove the carpet from the bunk boards and replace it with something that will not hold salt water. I was thinking, some type of composite or vinyl over the existing boards. Any suggestions?

If your handy you could just buy HDPE and make your own. It cuts with normal wood working tools.

But, whatever you do, make sure you don't undo the winch strap until you're ready for the boat to depart the trailer!!
