Burning up ignition coils way too fast

I have a 1982 DT85 outboard.

Ive gone through three ignition coils in the last year. Each time it goes its the same thing, it runs good for a while then miss fires and I loose whatever cylinder it is attached to. Always works fine when cold but only for a little while. So far ive had to replace the number three coil once, and the number two coil twice. Any idea what causes these coils to go bad?

I have replaced the OEM coils with OEM coils. However there is an after market coil in the #1 position that has yet to burn up on me.

My mistake, the coil in the #1 position is oem from a Johnson Evinrude motor, and has not burned up on me yet.
