Hi All-
On my 1989 OMC/Cobra 5.8L, the starboard exh. mainifold (end riser) is cracked. After scouring the web, all I come up with is getting a new manifold for around $600. I have found several center riser conversion kits from $509-$720.

The kits include two manifolds, two risers, elbows and gaskets. Seems it would make more sense to spend around the same coin and convert, as center risers would breathe better, provide for more torque and more HP.

What is the general consensus here in forum-land on these conversion kits? It really chaps me to have to drop six bills on a lousy manifold (thank you SO much, Bombardier), and a kit gets me two new manifolds.

If you look HERE

I believe they make a replacement for you.
Check it out. You'll have to buy it through a distributor somewhere if they have the right one.
