I've got a dilema...I have a 12' aluminum boat with a 1954 johnson 5.5hp for motor. No trailer. I want to replace the motor for something newer and more reliable. So, should I go out to a dealer and buy a motor (that will cost me $1500 canadian) if I'm lucky or should I buy my buddy's friend 12' boat with trailer and a 1980's 6hp johnson for a $1000. With the first scenario I get a good motor but no trailer and more $$$$. (I have to watch my budjet. The second scenario I get a trailer out of it and another boat that I will resell with my 1954 motor for let's say....$500 but the motor is not as "good" as the new one I would get....I can't decide what to do so I though to ask you guys opinion...
