Your speed and milage will be greatly influenced by the weight you have in your boat and the prop you have. But as a rule of thumb the best fuel economy will be at approx. 2/3 thorotle and trimed real well.

Happy boating with your new "rig"

Re: Buying 19 lxi larson maybe

Nice looking boat, I was actually looking to upgrade from a 1998 175 Bayliner Capri to a Glastron 195SX when I found my 2005 Larson 208 LXI and couldn't be happier. This boat has all the options of a cruiser, less the toilet, with the ability to easily load and unload anywhere, unlike a cruiser. My family and I enjoy it almost every weekend from Memorial weekend to late September on the Missouri River in Bismarck, ND. There are not many Larsons around here as the dealers are Bayliner, Glastron, Sea Ray, & Crownline for family boats. I have owned mine since Memorial weekend 2007. When I bought it, it had a whopping 42 hours on it, now it has a stagerring 50.2 hours. We usually drive to a sandbar a few minutes away play games, drink beers, and hang out. We'll head out for a 30 minute cruise before we head in for the evening that's why it has such low hours. The only problem I have so far is my transom shower pump burnt out. 5 minutes to diagnose, 3 minutes to remove, $80, and will be installing it tonight and testing, I am guessing around 20 minutes by the time I install, fill the tank, test, drain the tank.

I know this is an old thread, but I just purchased a 2001 SEI 190 with the 4.3

I don't have it in my driveway yet, but I am really excited. Seems like a great boat! My tach doesn't work either. What'd you end up finding out?

Steve

I tested the gray wire and found there was a signal there, so ordered a new tach.
It works like a charm
