I am looking a boat that has a 1995 175hp Johnson Oceanrunner on it. A friend did a compression check:
port: 100, 99, 95
starboard: 105,105, 100
from top to bottom....

can anyone give some advise on weither or not these are in the range of where they should be? I really don't want to make a bad decision.

Thanks for and and all help or advice

they are all within 10% which is the standard for whats generally acceptable....and many times the difference can be remedied by an application of coke cleaner...like seafaom...which breaks up carbon that collects on the rings

good luck
