The boat has been in use. I want to test it on the water myself is all.
Have you ever saw an engine mounts pull out of rotten stringers while underway....or have a rotten transom get ripped of a boat at 30 plus mph....I have, that is why I go overboard when testing !! Wish you the best of luck, hope it works well for you, but please look carefully !!

engine 228 - manual - Yes , specs Yes
Fresh water system - No but It has been a lake boat to the extent that its on a non galvanized trailer.. the guy is the second owner.. no salt exposure evidence corrosion. I am looking for an estimate now to bring my first thousand to add a fresh water cooling system!!!

Check the bellows. If there are cracks, replacements may be in the future. I don't worry about age so much. A 21 footer was on a trailer - stored inside? Powerboaters are much more concerned about age than sail boaters. There are many sailboats still on the water that are from the 60s and 70s, and sailboats have a lot of forces on them too. If the stingers and transom seem good - go for it.
