If I purchase a boat in Phoenix that has an EFI motor and then take it home to an elevation of 5600' or so, will it need any adjustments? Or does the EFI make adjustments unnecessary?

In every case I know of the computer, sensors and fuel injection adjust automatically for the altitude difference. What engine is it specifically? Make, model year etc.?

no you do not need to adjust.though theres a special fur hood cover you can buy because the motor may get cold and shake at high alt.

You will almost certainly need a prop change though. Despite the ability of the engine to compensate for the higher altitude, she will still lose power. The only engines that can maintain power at higher altitudes are turbocharged or supercharged. Naturally Aspirated engines will still have reduced power. My guess is at least 2 inches less pitch, maybe more.
