I am buying a boat and meeting the guy near cabelas in hamburg pa, anybody know of a boat slip or river or lake where we can back it in to start it up near this location, gps address or any ideas?

different lakes have different regulations... do a google search. there are lakes around there, but i don't know what kind of boat you will be putting in there. hopefully something small (and an outboard).

call the cabella's and ask them.... someone there will know.... make sure you do more than just hear it run tho..... take it and put it through it's paces..... seatrial

Definitely find somewhere to actually drive the boat, not just back it into the water and hear it run, you can do that on muffs or in a 55 gal container. You want to know how it performs at WOT and under load after it's warmed up to operating temp. There's probably one close though, as I can't imagine the guy owning a boat with no place to use it.

I bought my boat from Boat&RV Superstore in Hamburg, PA and they took me to a lake about 30 minutes away for the trial. Call or stop in and I'm sure they can tell you what lake they use.
