All of my boats have been used...
although I will admit to looking at a few new ones this year because of the ridiculous deals on new boats this year...
The same goes for used boats as well...If you are one of the lucky few who has the extra cash to buy a new (or used) boat....there has never been a better time.
I don't think there is anything wrong with financing a boat, I just didn't want to finance that much..so I went used......again.
It is a buyers market, take your time and do your research on any boat you are considering buying..That boat is probably not going anywhere real soon.
With all the cheesey lines and cliches about a boat being a hole in the water that you dump money into...I couldn't imagine being with out it..
I would bet that most people on this forum feel that way.
I would look at a late model used boat and then figure out what it would normally be worth and offer them about 75% of that (and they'll probably take it) it won't eliminate the chance of the boat having issues, but it will reduce it.....
what ever you do...just buy one......and don't look back (unless you a pulling a tube or water skier, of course)
