Re: Buying tires...help

If 50 mph with unbalanced tires would make your car shake, why wouldn't you assume your boat is getting the hell beat out of it also with unbalanced tires?
Always balance.
This shouldn't ever be a question.

I just bought new tires (4) for my trailer and they were very out of round, I'm glad I had them balanced. When the trailer has been sitting for a week or two, when I first start towing the boat, I can feeling the flat spots on the trailer wheels. This usually disappears after about a mile....then it's smooth. If the tires were not balanced, I'd be able to feel the vibration in my truck cab for sure.

Take away: If you ONLY travel very short distances i.e. less than five miles....don't balance. But if you're going to travel any distance further than that......balance those trailer tires.
Here's your take away......balance your trailer tires.
