Thought I had the problem fixed earlier with installation of new water pump & t-stat. After operating @ 32-33 MPH for 45 - 60 seconds, the buzzer sounds and won't silence until motor is stopped & re-started. With the motor ideling afterwards, I'm able keep my hand in the stream from the tell-tale for about 30 seconds. The buzzer does not sound @ turn of key when starting. In fact I never realized I had a buzzer until I replaced the Power Pack on # 3 cylinder and when I took it out to test run after installation is when the buzzer began to sound which led me to replace the water pump & t-stat. The water temp in the river is about 83 Degrees. Any suggestions are appreciated .

Re: Buzzer @ 32 MPH

I have a 1984 75HP that did the same thing. Ended up being a blown head gasket. Do a compression check see if you have a cylinder low on compression. Pull the head and put a new gasket on. When I replaced the gasket the first time I did not have the head machined. It contnued to overheat. I pulled the head back off took it to a machine shop had it planed and put another new gasket on. Cured the problem. If this is your problem when you put the head back on buy new head bolts.

Thanks for the info. I will check compression. Don't know if it has anything to do with new Power Pack or coincidence, but a compression check is cheap!
