Cable Adapters

Do they make an adapter to change the pre 1979 cables over to the newer style or do I need to replace the cable altogether? I have a 1973 motor and need to put a new controller on and need some way to adapt the old cables to the new box.

The 1973 -1977 engine harness with the red plug is compatible with red plug controls through 1995 although a couple of wires are different in color.

Controls after 1995 will require an adapter.
