Re: cables

regular teleflex universal cables threaded on both ends. The connectors are standard Chrysler/Force connectors. Be certain that you order cables at least 2 feet longer than the measurement. You MUST have a loop at the engine or the cables will bind and you will not be able to shift or throttle properly.

measure from the control box to the corner of the transom, ten to the engine, then to the inside of the engine where they connect. Add akll three measurements and add 2 feet. If it is an odd number like a 1/2 foot, round up to next size.

Re: cables

Go to Teleflex customer service and give them your engine and year. You probably need the TEL 31799001 quick connect for the engine end shift cable. My book does not show the throttle quick connect but I know they make it.

Depending upon your control box, you may need the 30 series pivots, TEL 31029 (2 each) OR terminal eyes, TEL 31980. The pivots are used if the control box has holes in the control levers and the terminal eyes are used if there are pins on the lever arms.
