Calling all johnson pros

So i have a 1996 150 ocean runner took it out this morning and had two problems i need help with first off i was running about 4200 rpm and my no oil light came on so i shut it down and whent to the vro primer bulb and it was half way collapsed so i took off the fill lid and played with it a little while until it got hard and the light went off. It happened like three or four times. Then also when running at the same rpm with the oil light not on all of a sudden the check engin came on?????? any suggestions

Could be a bad oil primer bulb or a restriction in the oil tank. Filter ? The check eng lite on that mtr comes on when you have a fuel restriction. Did you get any kind of warning horn when these lites went on ?

Put oil in the gas while you're trying to get it figured out.

You might be better just removing the VRO system all together. My buddy hates them they are great when they work but if they stop and you don't know than ur screwed.
