ANYONE UP FOR HOUSEBOATING ON LAKE POWELL?

I have a 60' houseboat on Powell for the last week of July for 7 days and was just informed that the rest of my group have to cancel. I got the rental back in October for 40% off, with that discount I had to pay everything up front w/ no cancellation. I use it or lose it. The problem is the group that canceled was plan "C". I've checked w/ a few friends this last week and for one reason or another can't make the trip this year. A second boat in tow makes it so much more enjoyable, I've done it w/ just my boat once and as much as I love boating it's nice to kick back and chill too. If interested let me know.

Sounds like a great offer! Powell is awesome and I need to get back there someday. Powell just isn't in the cards for us anytime soon. We'll actually be in the Sierras up by Rock Creek 4 wheeling and fishing that week. I hope you find someone. It'll be a trip to remember for sure.

ps. It was a perfect day on the lake - thanks! Record temps, but the difference between 117 on the lake now and 117 on the lake in August is that now the water is still cool. It was around 76. In August it'll be in the mid 80's and you have to dive down to cool off.

For any of you that have not been to Powell, this is bucket list type stuff no matter where you boat. Typically we don't allow any soliciting here so that we don't have to police grey areas. HOWEVER, unless another Mod messes me up, we need to leave this one. I am also out of play for this, but you need to listen to 12V. IF YOU CAN PULL THIS OFF, YOU HAVE TO GO. I will guarantee that, with very few exceptions, it will be the boat trip of your life!

The weather was perfect yesterday. Took the boat out for a test run after replacing all the parts I burned on memorial day. boat ran GREAT!!! Went out yesterday and launched out of Callville bay. ran around a bit, and even got a little wakeboarding in. had a great time. was anyone else out yesterday?

thats too funny. Didnt even think about that. But blue really is my favorite color. and yeah that is the same beach. I did like it but another reason for parking there was so that I could stay close to the marina since it was only a test run really after changing all those parts I changed after I overheated. Plus, I made the rookie mistake of forgetting my radio to call for help in case something happened.

Looks like you had some awesome water and some cloud cover too. I love those days. But hell, I love 'em all!

They had no swimming from starting @ Echo and heading north. I was out last Friday in V Basin and I did see a couple fish floating on the lake. A few years back it was Lake Mohave w/ dead floating fish. It was real bad at Mohave, dead fish everywhere.

Finally decided it was time to upgrade my stereo receiver. Just ordered the Clarion M303, Pandora, iPod, SiriusXM and what I'm really going to like is Bluetooth. Also ordered the MF1 wireless remote, supposed to be watertight and float, we'll see. It works on RF so I don't need line of sight for it to work, as oppose to other wireless remotes that use IR, again, we'll see. Should be here next week and installed for weekend testing.

For anyone planning on attending Aquapalooza that was supposed to be the weekend of 7/20, I just got this info:

At this time we are postponing Aquapalooza to an even later in the year to be determined. We are looking at a different option for a boating activity. Please go boating, enjoy your friends & family and have a great summer on the lake! There is always a party in Swallow Cove, Lake Mead. Stop by the marina's for food and drink specials and special events throughout the year!
