Whether it is a quote box, or an image or a link, the commands start and end with brackets like this: [QUOTE, or IMG, or URL in here] Quote itself here [/QUOTE, or IMG or URL here] The fore-slash ends the command, but you still need the brackets.

So if I delete any one of those four brackets a quote looks like this:

Quote box help/QUOTE]

If I simply add back in the bracket before the fore-slash it looks like this:
Quote box help

I used that example is it is the most common, and exactly what you did. When users edit a quote to shorten it, they often accidentally clip one of the brackets. The first of the closing pair being the most common, but I've seen any one of the brackets missing, and it is why it is so easy for me to fix. Add a bracket = fix a quote :)

Same with a pic or link (your particular pic is also a clickable link). This time i removed the bracket in the front of URL which makes the pic unclickable, the bracket in front of IMG is still there so we can see the pic.

Here's what it looks like if I remove the bracket in front of IMG too:

Re: calling all lake mead boaters! nevada

time is never an issue with me,crossing from lake mead marina toward narrows i would be worried about gas and keeping food fresh during summer months. Not to mention hot beverages during summer, i cant stand.how much gas i wondered and thought 3 six gallon tanks should do it.refilling at calville,i think i would make it.This is no joke of a journey, the weather could easily sink a 14 ft boat full of gas and supplies.pulling into coves and knowing when and where to arrive would be crucial.right now would be easier, but during summer the hot weather would make it so much worse on food and drink.I once bought a cheap styrafoam cooler and a expensive igloo and the cheap one held ice longer.lol. this trip would be like hells bells, nice weather punch it, and go,then suddenly you see a cove like no other, worth the risk and suffering, pull in and trust in god for the night. If anything is gonnna happen its gonna happen on the lake, not in out living rooms right, lets do it!!!!!Go beyond that island or that point and see whats in you.you have a cell phone.

6'ers [/QUOTE]

I once drove my bass boat into 6ers for over 30min to see what would happen, and how i and the boat would handle them.the bildge pump was critical and so was the angle of boat hitting the big nasty.wasnt as bad as i thought it would be.bildge providing lol.

I wonder if anyone has ever tried to run a 14ft aluminum boat from lake mead marina to temple bar and survived lol.Gas,food and supplies would be a serious issue right!not to mention weather could cost you any of these along the way.planned right and weather permitting it would be a adventure!!!!What would be the most important you think?

Sounds like fun, planing can be part (or a lot) of the fun, please wear your vest on the crossing, and carry a handheld VHF you might not be able to hit NPS but you sure may reach a fellow boater in a pinch.

Re: calling all lake mead boaters! nevada

are there any good yamaha outboard mechanics there in Las Vegas/Lake Meade area? I'm moving out there next week and possibly need some work done to my engine. I just tried starting my outboard today after a full year of sitting up(it was winterized). When I finally got it started it would not start unless the manual choke was pulled and had some throttle, it would not idle however....it always needed some throttle. Everytime I tried to push the choke back in it would cut off. I used some valvtec and some carb cleaner and let it run for a bit with the choke and still, it would not run unless the choke was out with some throttle. It will not start up at all with the choke in, whether it has throttle or not....it would just spit a couple times and cut off. Any suggestions? I did not have this trouble last year...that said it never sat for over 6 months without use either. This is also the first year I winterized it since I was deployed for a year. It's a Yamaha by the way.

I not sure of good marine shops in Vegas as I do my own work. If you want to know one to avoid, PM me. I think 12V posted up a place in BC he recommends, look back through this thread a page or so.

Post up your problem over on the Yamaha outboard forum as they might be able to help you, fix your problem.

Pull the carbs off and clean them out well, sounds like something is jammed up somewhere to me.possibly a float, clogged orifice, inlet needle valve, might even be your primer bulb.start at tank and work your way to carbs and check all including fuel pump. You can buy rebuild kits here on awesome iboats.

Re: calling all lake mead boaters! nevada

OH YA, I just got my new stickers for boat and trailer and new fishing license. Now the hard part,go to the lake early all yr and avoid fee station or cough up 60bucks.
lol
I think ill actually pay it this year, last yr i avoided it all year being that i always leave around 3am to go fishing.
I once got stopped on the way home and charged the fee a few yrs back, lol
There really doing alot of good things with the money around the lake and i want to help that, like the new bathrooms at calville campground, roads and stuff.I wish they would extend goverment wash launch ramp down to the water and reopen it,thats where the big large mouth are,and easy drive from east side.

I spent 2 days @ TBar installing a kitchen while a couple of my buddies were fishing. They caught a 4.5 lb small mouth too. Not bad eh?

Some of my handy work before & after:
