That's awesome, sadly I didn't see anything on this until this morning otherwise I so would've pulled the cover off, slapped the battery back in it and would've brought the Baja for a little dry cruise. If something like this goes on again can someone please shoot me a PM? I really would love to get involved with this.

Strip is cool but if this isnt taken care of by november we will line up the convoy and head to calville,even if im alone i will be there.Lets start getting togeather now for the best day and such.We wont break any laws just get to calville and go from there.Can we still eat at the marina? they have plenty of parking for all our boats.

Im with ya. If nothing else I see no harm in a tailgate out there at the very least.

It seems we might not get past the fee station with 4 rangers in vehicles there.Lets just say were on our way to overton lol.They have even pulled the docks at launch ramps out of water.

I read an article saying the park kicked out residents that have homes out at LMNRA, Stewarts Point i'd guess and probably other area's like Tbar. If they are kicking out 70-80 year old retired folks from their ("vacation") homes, I doubt anyone would be able to get into the park without a valid reason,,, like 12V retrieving his ATV.

I was going to say, to 'ell with it and go in the back way, but threw out my back last weekend. Figured it was a sign from God not to push my luck...... (That and, I'm not sure I could have launched my boat at that location without a lot of grief, water is pretty shallow and I need about 20" to float my little boat.)

I guess i will just start sanding down my trailer and painting instead lol, if some reason lake mead doesnt open again we will have to become familiar with lake las vegas,oh ya, at least we will bring cash to them.

Gov. Brian Sandoval said Nevada won't spend state money to open national parks and federal areas closed due to the federal shutdown.

The stance was made as other state governments are negotiating to reopen their respective U.S. parks. Despite the shutdown, would you like federal parks in NV to reopen?

I guess i will just start sanding down my trailer and painting instead lol, if some reason lake mead doesnt open again we will have to become familiar with lake las vegas,oh ya, at least we will bring cash to them.

I feel ya, I need to repaint my trailer as well. Spent all that money rebuilding all the mechanicals on it, its a shame to leave it looking as sorry as it does. So yeah, repaint time for me as well.

As I was on my commute this morning I passed a car pulling a trailer with 2 jet skis on it. I hope they read the news & were headed to Parker.

Ive decided to not cut my hair till lake mead is open and believe me its long already,i usually get a number 2 chop and smooth it out,now its so long that it tickles my ears and face already.everyone says you need a cut but im like i will as soon as lake opens.

I see Utah has reopened its NP's including Lake Powell w/ the southern Arizona entrance open. If Arizona opens its parks how will this work for Mead? You can only enter Mead from Arizona side? Might just be a mute point come next week.

I see Utah has reopened its NP's including Lake Powell w/ the southern Arizona entrance open. If Arizona opens its parks how will this work for Mead? You can only enter Mead from Arizona side? Might just be a mute point come next week.

We are still SOL as I doubt enough $$$ is being lost in our area to push for the reopening of Mead/Mohave. Even AZ only is trying to get selected parks like the Grand Canyon opened, while leaving it's other NP's closed, ($$$ thing). I spoke to some people in UT about the NP closures and it's impacting businesses hard, 1 place lost a million, a restaurant lost 500+ meals one day, lots of the small towns around the So UT parks are hurting.

My take on the situation is, they are not opening the parks so we can enjoy them, it's a money thing......

Rainbow & Craig, I cleaned them out of gear lube and got some other goodies.

Check your local store as the entire section was on clearance, could be company wide instead of just 1 store....

The kmart off nellis and bonanza stopped stocking fishing and boating stuff about 2yrs ago,sucks that its very close to mead.they usto be my first stop in the 1990s

Come on Nevada !! if AZ can temp open 8 of its parks,we can do mead right? maybe one of these casinos can open it too ha ha,they can put there draw poker in there i bet.

Did AZ open more national parks than just the GC? It would be nice if they did as Mead and Mohave are accessible from AZ, not saying that Mead and Mohave would be opened.

Powell was re-opened last weekend with Utah's deal, and accessible from AZ from what I read...........

sorry i made a mistake, its was utah that opened 8 parks including glen canyon,but i believe arizona had something to do with it.
