Hi, I have a brand new Mercruiser 6.2L 350HP V8 recently installed with a Bravo3 Sterndrive.
Does anyone have a picture of the engine water take-off points for a calorifier?
I have the manual and the correct kit but this only shows a partial schematic and its probably me being thick!!, but I cannot easily see the connections.
Its possible the connections are at the back of the engine near the power steering etc.
Thank you

Calorifier . . . That's a new term for me . . . basically a domestic water heater on a boat. (right)?

I happen to have 2 Mercruiser 6.2L engines sitting in my garage. The port engine cooling system was plumbed to the water heater. I'll take a closer look and post some pics.

Is your Mercruiser the SeaCore version (blue labels) or the open cooling version (red labels)?

Here is a picture . . . not the easiest thing to see.

The lower hose is on the re-circulating pump and the upper hose is on the underside of the crossover assembly. There is probably a plug in there now, but it gets a 90˚ fitting to connect the hose. Just above the location is the larger hose (1" +/-) for the coolant recirculating.

My engine is the closed cooling version (blue labels).

Hi Thank you for the responses... It is the SeaCore Version.
The kit has 3 straight connectors but it is for a variety of Mercruiser engines including the 6.2L.
For mine, the instructions it just shows the coolant crossover unit on it own and not the location. Looks like I have to drain the coolant then top up after.

You might need a right-angle fitting for the hose that connects to the crossover casting.
