anyone buy one of these marine starters off ebay. i got mine and it looks pretty cheesy. it says new premium starter on box, armature housing is smaller than stock starters. doesnt look like it would stand up to a big block. is there a reason you have to use a marine starter? big block chevy motor.....

Marine starter is spark shielded, automobile starter isn't. Fuel leak in an automobile, fuel drips to the ground. Fuel lead in a boat, fuel drips to the bilge, where is the starter located?
