Cam Roller 1977 Johnson 9.9

I need the roller for the cam follower on a 1977 Johnson 9.9. Can't find one locally and want to try making one. Does anyone know what the outside diameter is supposed to be and what material is it made of. I was going to use nylon!!Any help is appreciated.

Hello I used a piece of nylon hose either 3/8 or 5/16" ID. I used a hair dryer to heat the hose and slide it on the roller. Should take the roller off the carb. Good luck<br /><br />Shawn

Shawn<br />Was that 3/8" outside or inside? I haven't measured it, but I would think the inside dia. should be about 1/8" or 3/16". What do you think?

Drf<br />There a whole used carb on Ebay that has cam follower with it also whole mounting plate. I do not remember if 9.9 or 15
