Cam roller sleeve

Hi guys,<br /><br /> Would someone tel me if a 1995 130 Johnson has a sleeve over the cam roller? mine doesn't have one.<br /> model#J130TLEOA This model also has diff rent carb,s this has an intermediate orifice and an idle air bleed orifice.<br /><br /> All the other models have only one intermediate orifice. Having ahec of a time trying to get this thing to idle. thanks.

I do believe it does have a sleeve, but that should not effect the idle. When the carbs are at idle position the cam roller is not actually touching the cam. Carb throttle bodies should be fully closed.

The roller assembly is part no. 432639<br /><br />Parts for your engine are easy to find if the parts person would use the whole model number when looking up items.<br /><br />The letter A at the end of your model number means it has the earlier style carbs with both idle and mid-range air bleed jets along with an air bleed adjustable needle for idle.<br /><br />If I remember correctly, the factory called for 2 1/2 turns open on the air bleed adjustable screw as a starting point. Many of the motors had to run with the needle closed or almost closed. Remember that you are adjusting the air so and when you turn the needle inwards (clockwise) your are richening up the mixture.<br /><br />Later production models have a P at the end and the carbs have a single air bleed jet and a fuel adjustable low speed needle.

Thanks Guys. <br /> Walker and Seahorse,<br /> Seahorse my throttle bodies have two plugs on one side these are not included in the carb, kits does this mean don't touch? and what are they for?<br /> Also my carbs,have one #31 and one #30 orifice manual say-es two #33 orifices.<br /> Would the #33 be an update? The #33 air jets came standard, someone may have installed the smaller jets to richen up the mixture at low speeds. That was done on motors in certain situations.<br /><br />The core plugs in the throttle body are #202310 and normally do not have to be removed, unless the carb was full of debris and varnish. They cover the drilled calibration holes for the idle and mid-range running.
