I have a stripped front hole on the port trim cylinder of my 1993 3L mercruiser with Alpha 2. Can it be rethreaded or repaired or am I going to have to get another one?

Because the end fitting of the hose must seal in the bottom of the port in the cylinder, repairing them is extremely difficult. You may find a machine shop capable of a repair, but it may cost more than a new cylinder, and may not be long lasting...

Ayuh,...

The usually Fix is to swap out the whole cylinder,...
Or,...
The Outer Housing is available if you want to swap the guts of it....

The Hole is tapped for an Inverted Flare,....
It would probably take a very Talented Machinest to replicate it....
