I can't give you a year because I'd just be guessing. Some of the real experts might be able to tell you by the decals.
Here is something that might get you close. You can can probably find part numbers on several items on your engine without removing them. Key that part number into the BPR parts list and it will show you what models that part fits. I'm sure you'll have multiple hits on some parts but you might get lucky and find one or two unique hits to better determine year and hsp.

By the decals it is a 1987 or 1988. They look exactly alike. In fact they didn't even change the catalog page. Same girl, same bathing suit even.
Oh, and it is a 4hp Deluxe
thanks everyone but still having problems finding info. only one hit was the propeller on bpr that it may be a 4.5, also found a few other things but does not show me the model but diagrams only.
hello thanks for that info I found it very usefull but I have the motor in storage so i could not get anymore part numbers handy.
