I need to find out if the make replacement parts for my throttle controls. It is a 1986 Formula 206LS. It says quicksilver on the controls. I need the trim switch. It works to make the drive go down, but not back up. I know up works because I can hit the trailer button and it goes up. Any ideas? Or maybe a part number? Thanks

Your problem may not be in the switch, but in the drive. The drive has a limit switch on it that can cause this problem. There are two sets of wires comming through the transom from the drive. One set is for the trimposition indicator and the other set is for the trim limit switch. the trim limit switch prevents you from trimming the drive too far with the switch on the control. the Trailer switch over-rides the limit switch. To diagnose this, Go to the trim pump and find the two wires comming from the transom and attached to the pump wiring, Disconnect the two wires and jump them together from the pump. If the throttle swich now works, the switch on the drive is bad and needs to be replaced.
