I purchased this outboard last week off an elderly lady. She claims it's a 3hp??? If anyone can let me know what make it is,and what ratio fuel/oil it may take. The serial# plate is worn down. it is stamped C1300, if that helps

It appears to be air cooled. That limits the choices a lot. Any more pics? One with the cowl off.

Welcome aboard, lowey.

It is a 4hp Scott-McCulloch of the 1960's. Could possibly be a store-branded label. No name on it at all??

Thanks for the info. I'm placing more pic's up. The cowl is the fuel tank and has very little writing on it.dads water camera 188.jpgdads water camera 190.jpg

Yep, it's a McCulloch 4hp model, or a McCulloch-made house brand, .ie Sears "Ted Williams". A quick Google Search for McCulloch Outboard 4hp turns up pics of what it should look like...

They already got the manufactureer for you. a fuel oil mixture of 25:1 will work fine for that.

That logo in the middle of the tank must stand for something, but I don't know what. Whatever, it still is a McCulloch.
